What is optimal batch management when we are talking about guilts? 

This is when you have the same amount of farrowing per week. So you get the same amount of live born approximately per week and then you're capable of having the same number of pigs weaned per week. But that's often a challenge because the farrowing rate may vary and the proportion of sows coming into heat after weaning is a challenge also...
